This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Trippy, operated by SUPERVILLAINOUS, INC, handles SMS communications sent to users of our mobile application available at jointrippy.com.
Trippy sends SMS messages exclusively for one-time verification codes (OTP) used during account sign-up and login. We do not send marketing messages, promotional content, or any other type of SMS communication.
You opt in to receive SMS messages by entering your phone number in the Trippy mobile app and tapping the Send Code button to request a verification code. By doing so, you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code at the phone number you provided. No messages are sent without you explicitly initiating the request.
You will only receive an SMS when you actively request a verification code during sign-up or login. Typical frequency is 1-2 messages per session. We never send unsolicited messages.
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Trippy does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS verification codes. You can opt back in at any time by requesting a new code in the app.

We collect your phone number solely for the purpose of sending verification codes. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is stored securely in our authentication system and is not sold, rented, or traded.
SMS messages are sent through Twilio, a third-party communications platform. Twilio processes your phone number only to deliver the verification code on our behalf. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
SMS delivery is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carrier support may vary for international numbers.
We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
